Russia ‘Cannot Be Taken Over’ Due to Nuclear Arms, Ambassador Insists

Date:

Russia “cannot be taken over” in its war with Ukraine, Ambassador Denis Alipov insisted at an event in Gurugram, pointing to the country’s nuclear arsenal as the ultimate guarantee.
“Simply because of our nuclear weapons,” Alipov stated, is the reason Russia cannot be defeated, regardless of the billions in aid sent to Kyiv from Western nations.
He anchored his claim in Russia’s formal military doctrine. This policy, he said, allows for the use of nuclear arms if the state’s very existence is threatened.
With this as his premise, Alipov launched a sharp critique of European leaders. He called their belief in a potential Ukrainian victory “childish behavior” and “unprofessional.”
He also offered a contrasting view of President Donald Trump, claiming Trump “understands” the “futility” of the conflict and that the war is “lost by Ukraine and the West.”
