Taipei Summer Festival Kicks Off Tomorrow with Fireworks, Music & Toy Story Magic

Date:

Taipei’s highly anticipated Summer Festival begins tomorrow at Dadaocheng Wharf, promising an exciting lineup of fireworks, live music, and themed attractions throughout August. Running until August 30, the festival will light up the city every Wednesday and on the final Saturday with dazzling firework displays.
The festivities open at 6 PM with a live performance by Power Station, leading up to a five-minute firework show at 8 PM. The opening display, titled “Glow Flow”, will feature purple, multi-layered fireworks designed to reflect Dadaocheng’s unique blend of history and modern charm.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Toy Story, the festival includes a special themed area—Dadaocheng Retro Toy Store—on Dihua Street, created in collaboration with Disney. Visitors can also explore Toy Story-themed photo zones at Yanping Riverside Park, complete with characters like Woody and Buzz Lightyear and glowing light installations.
To enhance the experience, guests are encouraged to plan a three-day, two-night stay in Taipei. In addition to the festival, attractions like Taipei Water Festival, Shilin Night Market, Taipei Zoo, and the Taipei Arena Ice Rink offer fun for all ages throughout the week.
