China Airlines has unveiled a new daily flight service connecting the city of Taichung in Taiwan with Okinawa, Japan, marking a strategic enhancement of its Japanese network. This expansion elevates the airline’s weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170. Operated by an Airbus A321neo aircraft, the newly launched service is set to bolster travel options across the region.
The flight, designated CI310, takes off from Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and touches down in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. For the return journey, flight CI311 departs Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and arrives back in Taichung at 2:10 p.m. This schedule aims to accommodate both business and leisure travelers looking to explore the vibrant cultures and opportunities between these two locales.
In a move to further enhance this corridor, China Airlines plans to introduce a second daily flight starting on August 13. The new flight, CI312, will depart Taichung at 3:20 p.m., reaching Okinawa by 6:00 p.m. The return service, CI313, will leave Okinawa at 7:00 p.m., landing in Taichung at 7:30 p.m. This addition signifies the airline’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for air travel in the region.
With these new services in place, along with existing connections from Taipei and Kaohsiung, China Airlines will operate approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa each week.
