The specialist emphasized the importance of metabolic health for the liver. Apples paired with cinnamon are recommended because apples provide pectin and polyphenols, while cinnamon contains compounds studied for supporting insulin sensitivity and healthier lipid levels. Raspberries are also praised for their fiber and anthocyanins, which help regulate blood sugar and fat processing.
Beetroot is another key recommendation. According to the expert, beetroots are loaded with nitrates, which support nitric oxide pathways for blood flow, and betaine. Betaine is a crucial nutrient that specifically helps the liver process and move fat out of its cells.
